iLearnabout partners with B.ISA to help turn environmental learning into action
iLearnabout is delighted to be collaborating with B.ISA (B. Inspired with Stories from Africa), bringing together environmental education and the power of storytelling to inspire young people to take action in their communities.
The collaboration coincides with the release of iLearnabout’s new Waste & Pollution topic, which explores the growing challenges of waste and pollution and, importantly, what young people can do to make a difference where they live.
Our partnership with B.ISA will explore how environmental storytelling can help children move beyond simply learning about environmental issues — and become storytellers, innovators and community leaders with ideas and solutions of their own.
To launch the collaboration, we have co-authored a new blog exploring the role of environmental storytelling in transforming learning into action. The blog introduces our partnership and looks at why giving young people a voice can be such a powerful part of environmental education.
We are also exploring opportunities to introduce iLearnabout to B.ISA’s growing network of African organisations, educators and storytellers, as well as developing a Waste & Pollution Storytelling Challenge together.
It’s an exciting opportunity to connect digital learning, creativity and local action — and we look forward to seeing where the collaboration takes us.
