iLearnabout Introduces 11th Environmental Topic: Waste and Pollution

iLearnabout is excited to launch its new Waste and Pollution learning topic, designed to help young people across Africa understand one of the continent's most pressing environmental challenges and inspire them to take action.

Through three engaging modules, learners discover what waste and pollution are, how they affect people, wildlife, livestock, natural resources, and the climate, and what practical steps they can take to make a difference. Students explore ways to reduce waste, reuse and recycle materials, dispose of rubbish safely, and protect the environment for future generations.

The topic also encourages hands-on community action through activities such as neighbourhood clean-up campaigns, recycling initiatives, waste reduction challenges, and creative reuse activities that address local environmental issues.

By combining environmental education with practical action, iLearnabout is helping equip the next generation of African environmental champions with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to build cleaner, greener, and more sustainable communities across the continent.

With 11 environmental topics now freely available, iLearnabout continues to provide schools with engaging, curriculum-relevant resources that inspire young people to understand, value, and protect Africa's natural environment.
